One of my favorite appetizer / snack recipe as it’s so yummy and easy to make!
Shishito Peppers can be found in Asian markets or most grocery stores, including Trader Joes.
They are usually mild but don't be surprised when you bite into a spicy pepper as 1 in every 10 is spicy!
Heat oil in a cast iron skillet (ideal) or a skillet. Add peppers and cook over medium/high heat, tossing and turning frequently until they blister in some places, between 5-10 minutes.
Keep it simple by squeezing in some lemon or lime and salt and toss to combine
For a soy/garlic sauce, stir ingredients in a bowl, add to the pan and toss together.
2-3 Tablespoons soy sauce
1-2 garlic cloves, minced or grated
optional grated ginger
1 Tablespoon honey or brown sugar
juice of a lime
Reduce heat to low/medium and continue to cook for about 5 minutes until peppers are tender.
