Lambrusco

Have you tried Lambrusco yet?  It’s a refreshing and food friendly sparkling wine from the northeastern part of Italy known as the Emilia-Romagna, which is the same region as balsamic vinegar from Modena, prosciutto, and Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese.

Back in the 80s, you may remember it as a cheap, sweet red wine. Who remembers the commercial  “Riunite On Ice, That's Nice!" .

Luckily, there are now some great Lambrusco wines, like this one.Cleto Chiarli - Vecchia Modena Premium Lambrusco di Sorbara SeccoThe Cleto Chiarli  is deep pink with floral, strawberry,  cherry and raspberry aromas with crisp acidity lends a clean, dry finish.

It’s a perfect food pairing wine, especially during the warm summer months. It pairs best with pizza, pasta,  burgers,  Prosciutto and Parmigiano Reggiano.
