Baked Pears

Simple and delicious - perfect as a snack or dessert. For entertaining, you can bake these ahead of time (about 5 minutes less time), cool and refrigerate. Then pop them in the oven for about 10 minutes to warm before serving.

You can also top with ice cream or yogurt but they are delicious on its own! I made a batch for when I’m craving dessert during the week. Just heat in the microwave and enjoy!

Baked Pears

Ingredients Ripe pears cinnamon or pumpkin spice butter - optional honey, maple syrup or brown sugar pecans or walnuts

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or use a baking dish. Cut the pears in half. It also helps to cut a sliver off the bottom so they sit upright.

Using a spoon or melon baller, scoop out of seeds. Place pears on the baking sheet or pan.

I added a little cube of butter in the center but that’s optional.

Sprinkle cinnamon, add nuts and drizzle some honey or sprinkle brown sugar on top.

Bake for 30 minutes. Serve as is or with ice cream or yogurt on top.
