One Pan Pork Chops with Apples

Ingredients

3-4 pork chops ( i used boneless but can use bone in)

Salt and pepper

1 Tablespoon olive oil

1-2 apples ( depending on size) cored and sliced to 1/4” thickness

1/2 - 1 onion, sliced thin

3 garlic cloves, minced

1 Tablespoon sage, minced ( or any other fresh herbs)

1/2 cup chicken broth, water or wine

1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar (optional)

1 teaspoon dijon mustard (optional)

Directions

Season pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides.

Heat oil in a large skillet or cast iron pan. Add pork chops and brown for about 4 minutes on each side. Set aside.

Add apples, onion, garlic and sage and cook for a few minutes, until apples begin to soften. Sprinkle some salt and pepper. Stir in chicken broth and optional mustard or balsamic vinegar, scraping up any brown bits from the bottom of the pan.

Add in pork chops and continue to cook for a few minutes, until pork chops are cooked through.
